I MapQuested his address, and to no surprise it led me around the world when in all actuality I was across the street from the house to begin with. I missed the exit because mapquest said to take 90C, however I never found that exit. Luckily I was with Daniel, who was nagging at me that I should have printed the directions instead of short handing them on a scrap piece of paper.

We arrived on Gallatin Pike (in Nashville) then onto McGavoc Pike. I ended up in Inglewood and realized I was “not in Kansas anymore.” But I felt comfortable knowing that it was 11:00 am and I wasn’t alone. I finally found the house that I passes 3 times before I found it. I took about 10 boxes which were liquor boxes…yay…

I guess today was a great way to start off this school year…in some ways it is the same as what I am experiencing right now. I don’t know where I am headed but I know I am not alone and though it may take a few tries I will be just right where God wants me to be and I will arrive in the time he has planned. But I know I will be receiving far better things than liquor boxes:) I know it is a far fetched analogy but it works for me.

Off the subject, sort of, I read my sociology book (yea I know I am nerd) that was required for the class, Gang Leader for a Day. It was really interesting. This grad student went and observed the Robert Taylor projects in Chicago and followed around a leader of the Black Knights gang. It was really insightful. I didn’t think I would actually like it but I did. So if you have a few days of nothing go rent that book and read it. It may open your eyes.

Now that I have rambled for about 10 minutes about nothing (which may be what my blog turns out to be) I am going to go enjoy my evening!

I have obviously started to blog…or at least try! I have always thought it would be a good destressor and a good way to stay off of Facebook…

Well college is about to be back in full swing and I am pretty pumped. I know it is school but I can’t wait to get back and see old friends and make new ones. Last year I didn’t stay much on the weekends but this year I am definately staying! I can’t wait to find a church and get involved with that. This is the last semester before we apply to nursing school so it is going to be stressful but I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me! I am going to need to practice not killing myself over the small things and know that he is in conrol.

I have decided to make a “bucket list” for this year:

• Fall completely in love with Christ and trust in him to provide.
• Find a strong church family to get involved with.
• Make a difference in someone’s life.
• Start a girl’s bible study.
• Exercise daily and eat right!
• Study!Study!Study! and make good grades…
• Talk to at least one new person a day.
• Reach out to those in need.
• Crochette scarves.
• Not take out my stress on Daniel (woops!)
• Learn not to judge.
• Be thristy for The Word of God everyday.

I am going to try to update this at least once a week. I want to let the fam. back at home to know what’s going on with me and to track how I change through the year and all the new experiences I come in contact with!
